Meet the dancers
Lainey Griffin - Dancer Lainey Griffin was born in Newport News, VA where she began dancing at the age of 2. Although originally from Yorktown, VA, she currently resides in Winchester, VA where she has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science as well as a Bachelor of the Arts in Dance from Shenandoah University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Athletic Training as well as a certificate in Performing Arts Medicine. While at Shenandoah she has performed works by Tiffanie Carson, Erica Helm, Ting-Yu Chen, and others. Lainey recently joined the ARTEINMOVIMENTO dance company founded by Shenandoah Alumni Eve Stanley. Lainey has also spent her summers teaching all ages and a variety of styles.
Becca Hopkins - Dancer Becca Hopkins is from Chesapeake, Virginia, where she trained at Danceland II School of Dance and Todd Rosenlieb Dance throughout childhood. Hopkins graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Shenandoah University in May 2023, and plans to pursue her Master’s of Science in Performing Arts Leadership and Management in 2024. She is proficient in Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Ballet, and Musical Theatre dance styles, as well as Musical Theatre vocal training. Hopkins has a passion for dance education, and enjoys sharing her knowledge of dance with people of all ages.
